IPDC Showcases Ethiopia’s Expanding Transport and Logistics Investment Opportunities in Paris
The CEO of Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC), Feseha Yitagsu (PhD), showcased Ethiopia’s Expanding Transport and Logistics Investment Opportunities in a high-level session on Transport, Logistics, and Infrastructure at the Europe–Ethiopia Investment Forum in Paris, highlighting Ethiopia’s growing appeal as a strategic investment destination.
The CEO delivered a compelling presentation outlining major opportunities for European and French investors in one of Africa’s most dynamic and rapidly transforming economies.
In his address, Dr. Feseha emphasized Ethiopia’s renewed commitment to fostering global partnerships.
“Ethiopia is not just opening its doors; we are rolling out the red carpet. Our ongoing reforms to open the logistics sector to foreign direct investment, coupled with IPDC’s robust support system, create an unparalleled opportunity for strategic partners to grow with us,” he said.
Dr. Feseha noted that IPDC, as Ethiopia’s leading government institution driving industrialization, plays a key role in facilitating and de-risking foreign investments. The Corporation currently manages 14 Special Economic Zones and Industrial Parks nationwide, offering serviced industrial land, pre-built factory sheds, and a streamlined One-Stop Service Center for investors.
He also highlighted IPDC’s proven track record — hosting over 200 investors and generating more than 100,000 jobs across its parks.
The forum highlighted several strategic projects now open for investment, including:
•  Logistics Infrastructure: Development of the Modjo Green Logistics City and establishment of free trade zone in Semera and strengthening Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.
•  Port-Connecting Corridors: Expansion of vital transport links such as the Ayisha–Berbera railway and participation in the landmark LAPSSET project.
•  Logistics Services: Opportunities in cold-chain transport, freight forwarding, and other value-added logistics services.
The session concluded with strong engagement from European investors eager to explore collaboration in Ethiopia’s rapidly evolving transport and logistics landscape — reinforcing IPDC’s role as a bridge between opportunity and partnership.
