Dire Dawa

Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone is located in Dire Dawa Administrative Council just 445 kilometer away Ethiopia's capital city, Addis Ababa, to the east of the country. It is the first free trade zone in Ethiopia. The zone started operations in 2018 with 15 factory sheds that lies over 150 hectares. Currently, investors from China, Italy, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia are operating in the park. It has access to an international airport, rail link and road connection to Djbouti port.
