ኢትዮጵያ ከሶላር ሴል ኤክስፖርት ብቻ ከ900 ሚሊየን ዶላር በላይ በሚቀጥለው አመት እንደምታገኝ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስቴር ዐቢይ አህመድ (ዶ/ር) ገለጹ፡፡

ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ይህንን የገለጹት ዛሬ ለህዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት የመንግስትን የስድስት ወራት አፈጻጸም ባቀረቡበት ወቅት ነው፡፡

ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ በሀዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን ውስጥ ከስድስት ወራት በፊት ስራ የጀመረው የጃፓኑ ቶዩ ሶላር ኩባንያ ብቻ በበጀት አመቱ የመጀመሪያ አጋማሽ ከ66 ሚሊየን የአሜሪካን ዶላር በላይ የሶላር ሴል ለዓለም ገበያ ማቅረቡን ጠቁመዋል፡፡

ኢትዮጵያ ትርጉም ያለው ለውጥ ሊያመጡ የሚችሉ ባለሀብቶችን ለይታ ለመሳብ ባደረገችው ጥረት ባለፉት ስድስት ወራት አምስት  የሶላር ሴል አምራች ኩባንያዎችን የሳበች ሲሆን ከኒዚህ ኩባኒያዎች ምርት ብቻ በሚቀጥለው ዓመት ሀገሪቱ 900 ሚሊየን የአሜሪካን ዶላር ከኤክስፖርት ታገኛለች ብለዋል፡፡

በሀዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን ከቶዩ ሶላር በተጨማሪ አሪጅን ሶላር እና ካናድያን ሶላር የተባሉ ኩባኒያዎች ስራ የጀመሩ ሲሆን ሎሎች የሶላር ኩባኒያዎች የኢንዱሰትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን በሚያስተዳድራቸው የተለያዩ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ወደ ስራ ለመግባት በሂደት ላይ ናቸው፡፡ 

ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ኢትዮጵያ ታምርት በሚለው ሀገራዊ እንቅስቃሴ ባለፉት ሶስት ዓመታት የኢንደስትሪዎች የማምረት አቅም ከ44 በመቶ ወደ  66.3 በመቶ ማደጉን ጠቁመዋል፡፡ 
ጠቅላይ ሚኒትሩ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ያሉ አምራች ኢንዱትሪዎች ቆጠራ መካሄዱን ጠቁመው በዚህም ከ413 ሺ አምራች ኢንዱስትሪዎች መኖራቸውን ታውቋል ብለዋል፡፡

Ethiopia will Earn Over 900 million USD Next Year from Solar Cell Exports – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD)

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) stated that Ethiopia will earn more than 900 million USD next year from solar cell exports alone.

The Prime Minister made this statement today while presenting the government’s six-month performance report to the House of Peoples’ Representatives.

He noted that the Japanese company Toyo Solar, which began operations six months ago at the Hawassa Special Economic Zone, has exported solar cells worth more than 66 million USD to the global market during the first half of the current fiscal year. 

The Prime Minister explained that, as part of Ethiopia’s efforts to attract anchor investors capable of bringing meaningful change, the country has attracted five solar cell manufacturing companies over the past six months. From the production of these companies alone, Ethiopia is expected to earn 900 million USD in export revenue next year.

In addition to Toyo Solar, companies named Origin Solar and Canadian Solar have also begun operations at the Hawassa Special Economic Zone. Other solar companies are in the process of starting operations in various Special Economic Zones managed by the Industrial Parks Development Corporation.

The Prime Minister also stated that, under the national Ethiopia Tamirt initiative, meaning “Let Ethiopia Produce, the installed capacity utilization of industries has increased from 44 percent to 66.3 percent over the past three years. 

He further noted that a census of manufacturing industries has been conducted in Ethiopia, revealing the presence of 413,000 manufacturing industries across the country.
