በልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ ሁለተኛው የሆነው የሶላር አምራች ኩባንያ የመጀመሪያ ምርቱን ወደ ውጭ መላክ ጀመረ

በሀዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን የሚገኘውና በተያዘው በጀት ዓመት ወደ ስራ ከገቡ ኩባንያዎች መካከል አንዱ የሆነው ኦሪጅን ሶላር ማምረቻ ፋብሪካ የመጀመሪያ ምርቱን ለአሜሪካ ገበያ መላክ ጀምሯል፡፡

በልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ በአጭር ጊዜ ግንባታውን በማጠናቀቅ ስራ የጀመረው ኩባንያው የመጀመሪያ ምርቱን ለአሜሪካ ገበያ ማቅረቡን የድርጅቱ ምክትል ዋና ስራ አስኪያጅ ሺንግ ዛንግ ገለጸዋል፡፡

ኩባንያው በልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ 55 ሚሊየን ዶላር ኢንስቨትመንት ካፒታል ያስመዘገበ ሲሆን ከ30,000 ሜትር ስኩየር በላይ የማምረቻ ቦታ እና የለማ መሬት በሊዝ ወስዶ ስራ የጀመረ ሁለተኛው የሶላር ኩባንያ ነው፡፡

ኩባንያው በአሁኑ ወቅት 450 ለሚደርሱ ኢትዮጵያውያን የስራ እድል የፈጠረ ሲሆን በሙሉ አቅሙ ወደ ምርት ሲገባ ለዜጎች የሚፈጥረው የስራ ዕድል እየሰፋ እንደሚሄድ ይጠበቃል፡፡

ኦሪጅን ሶላር መቀመጫቸውን ሲንጋፖር እና ሲሼልስ ያደረጉ ሁለት ኩባንያዎች በኢትዮጵያ የመሰረቱት ኩባንያ ሲሆን በአመት 4.2 ጊጋ ዋት ሶላር ሴል ማምረት የሚችል ግዙፍ ኩባንያ ነው፡፡

ሀዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን ከሚያስተዳድራቸው 14 ግዙፍ የኢንቨስትመንት ማእከላት አንዱ መሆኑ ይታወቃል፡፡ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ ከኦሪጅን ሶላር በተጨማሪ ቶዮ ሶላር እና ካናዲያን ሶላር የተባሉ ሁለት ተጨማሪ የሶላር ኩባኒያዎች በውስጡ ይገኛሉ፡፡

ቶዮ ሶላር ኩባንያ ምርቶቹን ወደ ውጭ መላክ ከጀመረ ስድስት ወር ያለፈው ሲሆን በልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ የሚገኘው ሶላር አምራች የሆነው ካናድያን ሶላር ደግሞ የግንባታ ስራዎችን በማጠናቀቅ ላይ ይገኛል፡፡

የኩባንያዎቹ በሀዋሳ ልዩ ኢከኖሚ ዞን ስራ መጀመር የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬስን በአምስት አመቱ መሪ እቅዱ ያመላከተውን ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖቹ ከጨርቃ ጨርቅ እና አልባሳት በተጨማሪ ወደ ዘርፉ ብዙ የኢኮኖሚ ሴክተሮች ላይ እንዲያተኩሩ ለማድረግ የጀመረው እቅድ ወደ ተግባር እየተቀየረ ለመሆኑ ማሳያ ተደርጎ ሊወሰድ ይችላል፡፡

Origin Solar Exports First Solar Products to U.S. Market

Origin Solar has exported its first batch of solar products to the United States, marking a significant milestone for the company’s manufacturing operations in Ethiopia.

The export was made from Origin Solar’s production facility located in the Hawassa Special Economic Zone, according to the company’s Deputy General Manager Xing Zhang.

Origin Solar was established in Ethiopia by two companies headquartered in Singapore and Seychelles. The firm operates a large-scale manufacturing facility with an annual production capacity of 4.2 gigawatts of solar cells.

The company has registered an investment capital of USD 55 million and has commenced operations after leasing more than 30,000 square meters of manufacturing and developed land within the Hawassa Special Economic Zone.

Origin Solar is the second solar manufacturing company to begin operations in the zone.

At present, the company employs around 450 Ethiopian workers. Employment opportunities are expected to increase further as the factory moves toward full-capacity production.

The Hawassa Special Economic Zone is one of 14 major investment hubs administered by the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC). In addition to Origin Solar, the zone hosts two other solar energy companies—Toyo Solar and Canadian Solar. Toyo Solar began exporting six months ago, while Canadian Solar is in the final stages of completing its construction works.

The growing presence of renewable energy manufacturers in the Hawassa Special Economic Zone reflects the Industrial Parks Development Corporation’s drive to diversify investment sectors in its special economic zones beyond the textile and garment industry.

It also align with its five year strategic plan that aims to expand its investment attraction both in terms of investment origin and sector in order to accommodate a broader range of economic sectors.
