The first vehicle assembly business in Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone

The first vehicle assembly business in the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone has been formally opened and has begun operations with a 700 million US dollar investment.

The firm is officially opened in the presence of Mr Sandokan Debebe, CEO of Industrial Parks Development Corporation, Ato Kedir Juhar, Mayor of Dire dawa City Administration, and other top authorities from the region and the enterprise.

During the inauguration ceremony, Sandokan Debebe, Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation, stated that El Auto is unique among the manufacturing companies located in Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone, indicating the results of the effort to involve and make different sectors of production inclusive.

Ato Sandokan further claimed that the corporation has offered numerous supports from the time the firm signed the contract until its opening, and that the assistance would continue throughout the manufacturing process.

On his part, the Mayor of Dire dawa City Administration, Ato Juhar Kedir, sent a message of congratulations to the authorities and staff of the newly inaugurated and operational organization.

Elauto Engineering and Trading Private Limited Company, which was formally established in Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone, has been constructing autos for the country's taxi services and delivering them to taxi organizations.

In order to build 9,000 automobiles each year, the business has invested more than 700 million US dollars and leased a manufacturing shed in the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone. When fully operating, the enterprise will provide employment for around 400 citizens
