የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን በሚያስተዳድራቸው ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች የአርሶ አደሮችን ተጠቃሚነት ለማረጋገጥ እየተሰሩ ያሉት ስራዎች አበረታች መሆናቸውን በተባበሩት መንግስታት  የዓለም የምግብና የእርሻ ድርጅት ዳይሬክተር ጀኔራል ኩ ዶንግዩን ገለፁ።

ዳይሬክተር ጀኔራሉ በቦሌ ለሚ ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞን የሚገኘውን የሶፍሌት ማልት ኢትዮጵያ ኩባንያን እና የልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑን አጠቃላይ የስራ እንቅስቃሴ ጎብኝተዋል።

ዳይሬክተር ጀነራሉ በጉብኝታቸው ኩባንያው ከአርሶ አደሮች ጋር ያለውን የገበያ ትስስር ፤ ምርታማነትን በመጨመር   በስልጠና እና በምርጥ ዘር ስርጭት ላይ እያከናወነ  ባለው ተግባራት ዙሪያ ገለፃ ተደርጎላቸዋል።

የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን የኢንቨስትመንት ፕሮሞሽንና ማርኬቲንግ ዘርፍ ስራ አስፈፃሚ አቶ ዘመን ጁነዲ ኮርፖሬሽኑ በሚያስተዳድራቸው ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ከ100ሺ በላይ ለሚሆኑ አርሶ አደሮች ዘላቂ  የገበያ ትስስር ከመፈጠሩ በተጨማሪ የስልጠና ፤ የምርጥ ዘር አቅርቦት እንዲሁም ሌሎችም አስፈላጊ የድጋፍና ክትትል ስራዎችን በመስራት ላይ እንደሚገኝ ገልፀው ፤ በጂማ ፤ በደብረ ብርሃን ፤ በባህርዳር እንዲሁም በቦሌ ለሚ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች በአኩሪ አተር ፤ በአቮካዶና በቢራ ገብስ ምርት አቅርቦት ተጠቃሚነታቸው እየተረጋገጠ መሆኑን አንስተዋል ።

ዳይሬክተር ጀነራሉ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ከስራ ዕድል እና ከእዉቀት ሽግግር በተጨማሪ የአርሶ አደሮችን ተጠቃሚነት በማረጋገጥ እያበረከቱት ያለው አስተዋጽኦ እጅግ አበረታች እና ተጠናክሮ መቀጠል ያለበት መሆኑን አንስተዋል ።

 ኩ ዶንግዩን በኢትዮጵያ ቆይታቸው ከጉበኝቱ በተጨማሪ ከጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አህመድ (ዶ/ር)  ጋር መመካከራቸው ይታወሳል ።

“Efforts to Benefit Farmers in Ethiopian SEZs are Encouraging,” Says FAO Director-General

The Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Mr.Qu Dongyu, has praised the efforts being made to benefit farmers in Ethiopia's Special Economic Zones (SEZs). He made this statement during his visit to the Bole Lemi SEZ, one of the zones developed and managed by the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC).

 Qu, who is in Addis Ababa to participate in the 38th Assembly of the African Union, toured the French-owned Soufflet Malt Ethiopia, a malt processing factory located within the Bole Lemi SEZ. During the visit, he was briefed on the market linkages created by the company for farmers producing barley in the Arsi and Borena regions of Ethiopia.

Zemen Junedi, the Chief Executive Officer for Promotion and Marketing at IPDC, also informed Mr. Qu dongyu that hundreds of thousands of farmers have benefited from market linkages in barley, avocado, and cereal production across several SEZs, including Bole Lemi, Debre Birhan, Jimma, and Bahir Dar.

After a thorough briefing and tour, Mr.Qu highlighted that Ethiopia's SEZs are fostering an environment conducive to supporting farmers. In addition to creating jobs, these zones are facilitating technology transfer and providing agricultural input for Ethiopia’s youthful population.

During his visit, the FAO Director-General also held bilateral talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed(PhD).
