የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን በሚቀጥሉት 10 አመታት ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖችን በሀገር ውስጥ ከማስፋፋት በተጨማሪ በተለያዩ የአፍሪካ ሀገራት ዞኖቹን በማልማት ለአህጉራዊ ኢኮኖሚያዊ ትስስር የበኩሉን አዎንታዊ ሚና የሚጫወት ግዙፍ የመንግስት የልማት ድርጅት እንደሚሆን የኮርፖሬሽኑ ዋና ስራ አስፈጻሚ ዶ/ር ፍሰሃ ይታገሱ ገለጹ፡፡

ዋና ስራ አስፈጻሚው ይህንን የገለጹት የኮርፖሬሽኑ 10ኛ የምስረታ በዓልን በቦሌ ለሚ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን ከዋና መስሪያ ቤት ሰራተኞች እና አዲስ አበባ ከሚገኙ ቅርንጫፍ መስሪያ ቤት ሰራተኞች ጋር በተከበረበት ወቅት ነው፡፡

ኮርፖሬሽኑ ባለፉት አስር አመታት አልምቶ እያስተዳዳራቸው ያሉት ነጻ የንግድ ቀጠና፣ አስር ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች እና ሁለት ፓርኮች ተቋሙን ወደ ሚቀጥለው የእድገት ምዕራፍ ለማሻገር መልካም መደላድል እንደሚፈጥር የገለጹት ዶ/ር ፍሰሃ ሀገር ከዘርፉ ከሚጠብቀው አስዋጽኦ አንጻር ብዙ መትጋት እንደሚገባ አስምረውበታል፡፡

ኮርፖሬሽኑ በአምራች ዘርፍ ላይ ብቻ አተኩሮ ከሚሰራ የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርክ አልሚና አስተዳዳሪነት ወደ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን እየተሸጋገረ ባለበት ትልቅ የታሪክ አንጓ ሆኖ የገቢ ምንጮቹን ሊያሰፉ የሚችሉ አዳዲስ ስራዎችን እያስፋፋ መሆኑን ዋና ስራ አስፈጻሚው ጠቁመዋል፡፡

በዚህም ኮርፖሬሽኑ በኮንስትራክሽን፣ በሆቴል፣ በሎጀስቲክ እና በማኑፋክቸሪንግ ዘርፍ ስራዎቹን በማስፋት ገቢውን ለማሳደግ እንደሚሰራ ጠቁመዋል፡፡

የኮንስትራክሽን ዘርፉ ኮርፖሬሽኑ የሚያስተዳድራቸውን መሰረተ-ልማቶቸ ከመጠገን ጀምሮ አዳዲስ የሚያለማቸውን ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች በመስራት ተቋሙ መሰረተ ልማቶችን ለመጠገን እና ለማልማት የሚያወጣውን ወጪ ትርጉም ባለው መልኩ ከመቀነስ በተጨማሪ በሌሎች የግንባታ ስራዎች ላይ በመሳተፍ ተጨማሪ ገቢ ለኮርፖሬሽኑ እንደሚያመነጭ ጠቁመዋል፡፡

የሆቴል ዘርፉ ደግሞ ኮርፖሬሽኑ በሚያስተዳድራቸው ድሬዳዋ ነጻ ንግድ ቀጠና እና ሀዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን የሚገኙ አፓርትመንቶችን ወደ አፓርትመንት ሆቴል በመቀየር የተቋሙን የገቢ ምንጭ ለማስፋት እየተሰራ መሆኑን አብራርተዋል፡፡

የማኑፋክቸሪንግ ዘርፉ ደግሞ በልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ውስጥ ሲያመርቱ የነበሩ የግል ባለሀብቶች በተለያዩ ምክንያቶች የምርት ሂደታቸውን ሲያቋርጡ ማሽነሪዎቻቸውን በመግዛት የምርት ሂደቱን በማስቀጠል ለኮርፖሬሽኑ ተጨማሪ ገቢ ለማስገኘት ስራ መጀመሩን ገልጸዋል፡፡

ኮርፖሬሽኑ በሚያስተዳድራቸው ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ውስጥ ያሉ ባለሀብቶች ዋነኛ ችግራቸው ከሎጀስቲክስ አቅርቦት ጋር የተያያዘ በመሆኑ ይህንን ችግር በመሰረታዊነት ለመፍታት ኮርፖሬሽኑ በሎጅስቲክ ዘርፍ የሚሰማራ ቢዝነስ ዩኒት እያደራጀ መሆኑንም ጨምረው ገልጸዋል፡፡

ኮርፖሬሽኑ ወደ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን መሻገሩ በአምራች ዘርፎች ላይ ታጥሮ የነበረው የተቋሙን የትኩረት አቅጣጫ ንግድ እና ሎጀስቲክስን እንዲጨምር ስለሚያስችል ኮርፖሬሽኑ የሚያስተዳድራቸው ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ከፍተኛ የሆነ የኢኮኖሚ እንቅስቃሴ የሚካሄድባቸው ቦታዎች ይሆናሉ ብለዋል፡፡

የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን ባለፉት አስር አመታት ከ300 ሺህ በላይ ለሚሆኑ ዜጎች ቀጥተኛ እና ተዘዋዋሪ የስራ እድል ፈጥሯል፣ ወደ ሁለት ቢሊየን ዶላር የሚገመት የውጪ ምንዛሬ ለአገሪቱ አስገኝቷል፣ 800 ሚሊየን ዶላር የሚገመት ምርትን ሀገር ውስጥ በማምረት ከወጪ ይገባ የነበረን ምርት ተክቷል፣ 300 ሚሊየን ዶላር የሚገመት የገበያ ትስስርን ፈጥሯል፡፡

ከዚህ በተጨማሪ ኢትዮጵያ ከግብርና መር ኢኮኖሚ ወደ አንዱስትሪ መር ኢኮኖሚ ለምታደርገው ሽግግር መሰረት ጥሏል፣ የኢንዱስትሪ የስራ ባህል እንዲስፋፋ የራሱን አስተዋጽኦ በማበርከት ላይ ይገኛል፡፡

IPDC Strengthens Regional Economic Integration in the Decade to Come – Feseha Yetgesu (PhD)

The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) will play a key role in strengthening regional economic integration over the coming decade as a major public enterprise focused on developing Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across the African continent, says the corporation's CEO, Dr. Feseha Yetgesu.

Dr. Feseha made these remarks while addressing the staff of the corporation during a celebration marking its 10th anniversary at the Bole Lemi Special Economic Zone.

Since its inception, IPDC has successfully developed and managed a free trade area, ten SEZs, and two industrial parks. The CEO highlighted that the corporation's achievements in the economic and social spheres over the past decade have laid a solid foundation for future growth, paving the way for the corporation to further accelerate its development in the coming years. However, he emphasized that the corporation must address state expectations with a sense of urgency, innovative ideas, and high-quality infrastructure development and administration.

"The recent ratification of the Special Economic Zones Proclamation by the House of People's Representatives provides significant opportunities to expand our operations. Unlike the previous focus on light manufacturing, the new legislation allows the corporation to engage in trade and logistics activities. This transformation will turn our facilities into powerful growth corridors," the CEO explained, highlighting the new opportunities that the updated SEZ legislation offers.

To diversify its revenue streams, the corporation has also ventured into construction, hotel, manufacturing, and logistics businesses.

In the past decade, IPDC has developed and managed 11 world-class SEZs and two industrial parks. Over this time, it has created over 300,000 job opportunities, generated two billion USD in export earnings, substituted more than 800 million USD in imports, and established market links worth 300 million USD. Moreover, the corporation has played a pivotal role in laying the groundwork to transform Ethiopia’s agrarian economy into an industrial one while fostering a culture of industrial work.

With over 1.6 billion USD investment and close to 1200 staff, IPDC is one the largest state owned public enterprises in Ethiopia.
