Industrial Park Operation and Management Training Conducted for Newly Recruited Staff Members
Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) is working intensively to build the capacity of its staffs by benchmarking and customizing the international best practice in Industrial Parks Development, Operation and Management.
In line to that, a training regarding Industrial Park (IP) Operation and Management was given for the second batch of the newly recruited staff members of Adama Industrial Park (AIP), Dire Dawa Industrial Park (DIP), Kombolcha Industrial Park (KIP) and Mekelle Industrial Park (MIP) from December 31/2018 to January 4/2019. Who took a similar training on the first batch and deployed at KIP and MIP a year ago are the witnesses of the significant contribution of the training on their day to day activities.
The training consists of main topics like; Overview of IP’s Development in Ethiopia, Investor Aftercare, Operation & Management Service Provision including One Stop Service (OSS), Waste Management, Fire and Safety, IP Human Resource management and related topics. It was supported with intensive site visit and on practical application at one of the flagships Hawassa Industrial Park (HIP). The trainees are ready to carry out their duties and responsibilities on their respective industrial parks to provide a quality service to the IP Enterprises and the surrounding community. IPDC strongly believe their contribution in providing efficient operation and management services in the newly operational Industrial Parks. Similar trainings will be provided in the future for the upcoming IP staffs and inductions will be given for those trainees in their respective IP regularly.
